Barru Jackaroo is by Barru Luke (A2M – 1922210 BZ7D) (Barru Merlin x Karrawarra Lisa II) out of Karrawarra Bonnie III (A32148711 KWAF).  Jackaroo came to America after our Australia next-door neighbors and great friends, Scott and Trish Amon, read us the riot act for not having some Barru blood in our stud.  Needless to say, it took very little arm-twisting for us to import Jackaroo, as we have watched Luke and Bonnie work over the last few years while we resided at our farm in Valla, New South Wales.

We liked Jackaroo as a small pup with his natural desire to please and his ability to exhibit the Karrawarra style on his first contacts with stock while still in Australia. We kept an eye on him during our 2017 trip Down Under and then, under the influence of some Bundaberg Rum, convinced Trish to let her baby go to a new land called the Americas.

The litter Jackaroo sired with Tilda possessed the smart, stylish attitude one would expect from that breeding.
