Burradoo Swagman is by Burkelodge Becker out of Wranglar Lilly, who were both imported from Australia to the USA from Tom and Ian Gillcrist, respectively. Swag is in our working and breeding string and is used almost daily by Janice to move training sheep in and out of pastures.

As Sway is Janice’s go-to dog, she uses him on all the sheep and cattle moves in which she is involved. Typically, this will be on horseback with cattle and either foot or ATV on short sheep work. He is a pleasure to be around and wants to go to work every time he is let out of the kennel.

Swag is a nicely built Kelpie that is at home in the kennel or up at the house, when Janice wants another Kelpie buddy at her feet in the office. Swag has great stamina and a natural sense for working stock. His pedigree goes back to some of the most recognizable Kelpie studs in Australia. We have found that the Becker and Muster bred pups take to training very readily and tend to be easy to handle, with a great desire to please and an innate sense of anticipating the stock.
