A3F – 18358 – 09 BOO (A19)
BLACK AND TAN FEMALE
Born: November 1, 2009
Bred by: Bill and Janice Mytton, Burradoo Ranch, Absarokee, Montana, U.S.A.
We kept Ripper from our second mating of Burkelodge Becker and Burkelodge Coke as we were extremely happy with the dog, Burradoo Muster, that we have from their first litter. Ripper is a thoughtful dog and picks up very quickly on training and exposure to new situations. Ripper was precocious when exposed to stock, with her early training on sheep and her graduation to cows without calves and yearling cattle. She also works well in sheep yards and open paddocks.
We started Ripper on backing sheep and forcing in the race, with her showing great strength in those situations. When working cattle, she has good bite on the head and will rate her stock well when moving cross country in a driving situation. Ripper’s litter mates have also done well in their respective homes. Reports on two of the litter mates, with both owners on large ranches in eastern Montana, indicate that their dogs represent the brain power and working ability of dogs they had 30 years ago, the likes of which they have not seen since that time. We continue to follow the progress of these dogs, just as we attempt to do on all of our pups.
Ripper has produced excellent pups sired by Digby, Deuce and Snow. She is now retired from breeding but she remains an alert, loyal companion always ready to move sheep.
